The HDS™ Video Wall Processors are high-performance video processing workstations with hardware-based architecture, for spectacular video wall displays, employed in such fields as education and research, government and military, exhibitions and shows, Command and Control, and Emergency Management centres, security monitoring, etc. Advanced image processing technologies such as high definition video signal collecting, real-time and high-resolution digital image processing, and advanced three-dimensional digital filtering, are integrated in all HDS™ processors. Moreover, they also employ large-capacity, ultra-high-speed, FPGA and Cross Point switches, ensuring real-time processing of all input signals, with no image delay, zero artefacts, discretization and no frame losses, which guarantees a perfect video display.
HDS™ processor is compatible with a wide variety ofinput signal formats, including ,CVBS,YPbPr, VGA, DVI, Dual-link DVI, HDMI,SDI, twisted pair signal, optical signal, etc. The output signal of HDS™supports DVI-I, twisted pair signal, and optical signal. For DVI-I signal, RGBanalogue signal and DVI digital signal can be transmitted concurrently, whichmeans that when video signals displayed on a video-wall, it can also be backupand transmitted to another group of displays simultaneously. The resolution ofa single output channel can reaches up to 1920*1200@60Hz. Besides, customerscan also upload and display ultra-high resolution static background images withHDS™ processor. Additionally, ultra-high resolution dynamic background image is also supported with the extra graphics workstation to achieve perfect displaying.

Cross-screen Displaying
Each signal can bedisplayed in the cross-screen state, which means adjacent screens can jointly display the content of a single signal to form the whole graphics as a“window”. Customers can also zoom the windows drag them to everywhere on thescreen-wall.
Picture in Picture
Windows can be overlaid upon one another, forming a “picture in picture”. Moreover, the overlaid window is not restricted by the boundaries of the overlaid image, enabling unlimited flexibility in layout of the display.
Four Windowsper Screen
HDS processors support a maximum of four windows in a single screen, allowing users to view more video signals, with less screens. The layout of the windows can be configured separately, allowing unlimited flexibility and convenience.
Input Signal Preview
All input signals can be previewed in the UI software, before being displayed on the screens, enabling the operator to detect the input status, thus insuring that the display is correct..
Other Functions
Cross Point Switch
HDS™ processors employ Cross Point switch technology, offering high speed switching and transmission. Compared to the traditional “bus” switching architecture, where all signals need to share the bandwidth of the bus for transmission, Cross Point switching assigns each signal a unique channel, avoiding collision, delay, and instability, allowing real-time display for all video signals.
FPGA architecture
Employing the hardware based FPGA architecture, based on Tricolor-developed core algorithms, provides HDS™ processors with excellent image processing performance. Abandoning an embedded operating system allows HDS™ to avoid crashes, collisions, blue screen, and viruses, which are common in software-based architecture. Tricolor HDS processors are highly stable, ensuring uninterrupted 24×7 operation, meeting the increasingly strict demands of many markets, such as traffic control, security, and broadcast.
Cardto Main-board Plugging structure
The main modules, including input cards, output cards, switch and control cards, cooling fan and power supply, are all designed as plugin modules, ensuring extraordinary flexibility and convenience, and allowing the end user to configure the product, based on their situational needs It’s not necessary to disassemble the whole device when a module needs service, as HDS allows for ‘hot-plugging’ for input and output cards. No restarting or refreshing is needed, and no other signals will be affected.
Resolution Real-Time Total Adaptation (RRTA)
HDS™ processor employs RRTA( Resolution Real-time Total adaptation) technology in order to support customised resolutions for different groups of screens, in other words there solution for each group of screens can be configured separately in the software which offers flexibility and convenience for daily application andmanagement .
GraphicCropping and Signal Upscaling
The graphics of all input video signals can be freely cropped to remove the black edge. Moreover, customer can zoom in and out any of section after cropping. The up scaling process ensures the zoomed section will be displayed without artifact.
Ultra-highResolution background Image
The built-in storagein HDS™ allows the processor to store multiple ultra-high resolution static‘pixel-to-pixel’ background images which can be uploaded, displayed, and switched through the software. With extra graphic workstation, the displaying of ultra-high resolution dynamic background-image can also be achieved to meetspecific and professional requirements.
Character Super imposition
HDS™ processor supports character super imposition to each input signal channel for users to identify the signal source. Users can also customise the font, size, position, and color of the super imposed character.
Scenes Saving,Loading, and Displaying in Loop
Any configuring arrangement of video signal displayed on screen wall can be saved as “scenes”.HDS™ processor supports up to 32 scenes to be saved and unlimited scenes loaded. Customer can also set the scenes to be loaded and displayed in loop.
HDCP-Compliant
HDMI /DVI input card of  HDS™ processor supports HDCP , which enables HDCP encrypted content to be displayed.
Redundant Power Supply
HDS™ processor can be configured with dual power supplies, allowing for true redundancy, and assuring24x7 operation. The power supplies work on instantaneous load balancing. If a fault occurs in one, the redundant power supply will start running automatically, to ensure un-interrupted operation.
Controlling and Management
The HDS™ processor controlling software allows users to manage and control the processor on PC. It supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8. The HDS™ processor and controlling PC can be connected by using CAT5/6 cable(TCP/IP) or RS232 cable. The software can also control up to 4 extra traditional matrix switchers when they are cascade(RS232) to the processor.. The HDS™ processor can also be controlled by employing the specific controlling keyboard(RS232).
