Compatibility & Hardware
This kit is compatible with almost the entire BrightSign lineup, provided the player has a 3.5mm IR port or a USB port (which may require a separate adapter).
- Bidirectional Ports: Models like the XT series (XT4, XT5), XD series (XD34, XD32), and HD series (HD4) have 3.5mm ports that both send and receive IR commands.
- Input Only: Older XDx30 models feature a 3.5mm port designed strictly for IR output only.
- USB Support: Most modern players can also use this remote via a USB-to-IR adapter if the 3.5mm port is unavailable
Primary Uses
- Player Management: Simple navigation, volume control, and playback commands (play/pause/stop).
- Interactivity: Can be programmed within BrightAuthor to trigger specific content transitions when a button is pressed.
- Diagnostics: Helpful for on-site troubleshooting or setup without needing a keyboard or mouse.
